    According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.9 square miles (7.6 km²), all of it land. Most of the city lies in Cherokee County, with only a small portion extending into Rusk County.

    The climate in this area is characterized by hot, humid summers and generally mild to cool winters. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Reklaw has a humid subtropical climate, abbreviated "Cfa" on climate maps.[4]
