    Coats is located at 37°30′40″N 98°49′31″W / 37.51111°N 98.82528°W / 37.51111; -98.82528 (37.511148, -98.825388).[11] According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 0.21 square miles (0.54 km2), all of it land.[1]
