Schools earning accreditation from the JRC-DMS have gone through a rigorous evaluation of their teachers and course materials. If the school is online it may also obtain accreditation from the Distance Education and Training Council, which focuses on distance or online education. All accrediting agencies should be recognized by the U.S. Department of Education or the Council on Higher Education Accreditation. Along with ensuring a superior education, accreditation will also assist in getting financial aid and student loans, which are many times not available for non-accredited colleges. Accreditation can also be a pre-requisite for certification and licensing as required. And numerous Kegley WV employers will only hire graduates of an accredited college for entry level jobs.

Are Internship Programs Provided? Ask if the ultrasound technician colleges you are evaluating have relationships with Kegley WV hospitals or clinics for internship programs. Not only are internships a terrific means to get practical experience in a clinical setting, they are additionally a way to fulfill the practical training requirement for most programs. Is Job Placement Help offered? You will undoubtedly want to hit the ground running after graduating, but getting that first job in a new field can be difficult without help. Ask if the sonographer schools you are assessing have job assistance programs and what their placement rates are. It also confirms that their students are highly regarded and sought after.

Where is the School Located? For many students, the school they select will have to be within commuting distance of their Kegley WV residence. Individuals who have decided to attend online classes naturally will not have to worry themselves with the location of the campus. However, the availability of local internships will be of importance. One thing to keep in mind is that if you decide to enroll in a program that is out of state or perhaps out of your local area, you might have to pay a higher tuition. State colleges usually charge higher tuitions for out of state residents. And community colleges commonly charge a higher tuition to those students that don’t reside within their districts.

What Size are the Classes ? Unless you are the type of student that prefers to sit far in the back of the classroom or get lost in the crowd, you will likely want a smaller class size. Small classes enable more individual participation and one-on-one instruction. Ask the schools you are researching what the average student to teacher ratio is for their classes. This is particularly important if you decide to continue working while attending classes. If you need to schedule evening or weekend classes in the Kegley WV area, check that they are available. If you can only attend part-time, verify if that is an alternative and how many courses or credit hours you would need to carry. Also, ask what the procedure is for making up any classes that you might miss because of work, illness or family obligations.

    West Virginia Route 10

West Virginia Route 10 is a north–south route from Cabell County to Mercer County in the western and southern regions of West Virginia. The road is of very poor quality for most of its path, following river valleys and carved into the side of mountains.

Between the towns of West Hamlin and Man, most of the route closely parallels the course of the Guyandotte River. Thus, it follows a very winding course, with a solid rocks just inches from the roadway, and is thus very dangerous. An upgrade from Man to Logan to a four-lane highway built to the same standards as the Appalachian Corridor System was completed the first part of September 2017. From Man to Lacoma, the route follows Huff Creek, then turns south to Oceana. Then it follows a south-eastern path parallel to several small streams and terminates into US 19 just north of Princeton, West Virginia.

Further north in Cabell County, the segment from Interstate 64 in Huntington, where the current four-lane portion ends, to eight miles (13 km) south is also slated for four-lane widening. The existing facility is two lanes with numerous curves. In 2005, 14 houses were demolished in preparation for the highway's realignment, however construction has been left "unfunded" and has not begun.
