    Youngsville is located at 36°1′31″N 78°28′38″W / 36.02528°N 78.47722°W / 36.02528; -78.47722 (36.025311, -78.477090),[8] near Raleigh, North Carolina. According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 1.6 square miles (4.1 km²), all of it land.

    As of the census[3] of 2010, there were 1,157 people, 522 households, and 294 families residing in the town. The population density was 723.1 people per square mile (282.2/km²). The racial makeup of the town was 69.3% White, 25.1% African American, 0.3% Native American, 0.8% Asian, 0.0% Pacific Islander, 2.9% from other races, and 1.6% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 4.8% of the population.

    There were 522 households out of which 28.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 35.8% were married couples living together, 15.5% had a female householder with no husband present, and 43.7% were non-families. 35.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 7.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
